With Phase 1 re-opening in full swing, NOLA businesses have had to make some tough decisions. Do they wait to open, and continue to plan for the future? Or do they get the ball rolling early during phase 1 start the long process of getting back to a sense of normal?
There is no right or wrong answer. Ultimately as long as they follow the social distancing rules and guidelines we are happy to see business start to boom again.
One of our favorite little stops in the city, Prytania Theatre, has decided to re-open during phase 1, putting out tons of new rules to follow to ensure all their guests are safe. Starting Saturday, May 16, The Prytania is returning with daily showings. The two current movies slated to hit their theaters is The Wizard of Oz at 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm and Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone from 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm. In order to head to the theater, you need to keep up with the following phase 1 rules.
– Seniors and people with serious medical conditions should continue to stay home.
– Continue to practice social distancing.
– Gatherings are still limited to small family groups, no larger than 10 people.
– Masks are MANDATORY to be allowed into the theatre
– We have decreased capacity to 25% and prepared the auditorium to ensure proper social distancing
– No gathering in the lobby before or after shows
– If you are feeling sick – Please stay home!
