Matt Halper and Eli Sones, better known as Two Friends, have been gaining momentum in the electronic dance scene over the past few years. From appearances on Sirius XM radio and Don Diablo’s Hexagon Radio to 3o million Soundcloud plays and 11 #1’s on Hype Machine, this duo is starting to make a name for themselves. By putting their own spin on classics and their use of live instrumentation Matt and Eli have been distinguished themselves by honing in on their own sound, called “Soul House”. Characterized by its uplifting beat and strong vocals, soul house, is filled with feeling and authenticity. Soul house incorporates live instruments, be it guitar, sax, or drums, along with fun, catchy piano melodies to give a new life to a sometimes predictable genre. The only way to truly understand what this developing genre is all about is listening to it yourself with some Two Friends originals, Forever and Overdose.
With remixes ranging from Blink 182 to Gazzo to Eiffel 65, no genre is off-limits for this duo. Their skills are best appreciated when listening to their wildly successful “Big Bootie” mixes, which feature mashups and remixes from many notable artists and prove these two are capable of bringing their style to the main stage.
If you can’t get enough of their sound, Two Friends recently released their latest Big Bootie mix.
