Happy holidays from everyone here at river beats New Orleans! In this last weekend before the holidays, hopefully, you’re getting some time to relax and be around those you love.
There are lots of holiday festivities going on around the city this weekend. Nola ChristmasFest returns to the Convention Center; Mahalia Jackson Theater welcomes the Nutcracker ballet, and the Audubon Zoo Lights continue their weekend runs.
In this weekend’s music scene, the Jazz Museum is hosting a party to celebrate Professor Longhair’s 101 birthday. Ekali performs at the Republic, and the Iceman Special hosts a special toy drive at the Maple Leaf.
You also have a chance to celebrate the solstice with the witches at the Drifter or do some yoga in the Superdome with Nola Tribe Yoga.
