It’s no lie that we here at River Beats hope to continue to shine the light on the growing dance music scene that is blossoming here in New Orleans and gulf south. But just as the rest of the city does, shows and events became far and few between during the summer months.
Not to fear though lovely dance music fans: because as Fall comes upon us, so does a multitude of new shows. One such brand ready to kick off the season in style is long-time NOLA dance promoter AMPS Events and their home: The Metropolitan.
AMPS is kicking off a string of shows this Saturday with local favorite house producer 3LAU. If you are unfamiliar with 3LAU, get familiar and give him a listen here. 3LAU is one of the early stars of the “EDM” bubble in 2010, and along with his talented production work, he also reached notoriety for his record label Blume, the first not-for-profit dance music label. The label’s revenue is donated to charity each year, with Blume reporting over $200,000 donated last year alone.
3LAU has been a staple around NOLA for some years. His last appearance came at Republic NOLA in 2018. Along with his appearance this weekend, AMPS Events plan to bring Chicago duo KREWELLA on October 26 for one of Voodoo’s Festival‘s official after-parties. If you are ready to start your spooky season off the right way, then get ready to groove with AMPS Events at the Metropolitan.
