Orpheum Theater Opening Up Swanky Prohibition-Style Underground Lounge

Beneath the Orpheum Theater is something that many probably didn’t even know was there: a lounge. The area underneath the theater itself has been used in the past, like during Voodoo Fest weekend for Galantis and Uber’s invite-only experience, and for other special events. But now, the theater will officially make way to the new cocktail lounge and venue called Double Dealer, slated to open next Friday, January 24.

The theme is, quite fittingly, a “speakeasy” 1920’s style with vintage fabrics from past stage sets and other “architectural elements and mechanisms” adorn the area. The venue itself features four different spaces: The Main Bar, The VIP Room, the Poker Room and The Green Room. The Double Dealer is accessible through the Roosevelt Way North side alley.

In celebration of the grand opening, join the Orpheum crew for their grand opening next Friday. No tickets are necessary, but seating is first-come, first-serve. Learn more about the grand opening and check out their other events here.
