Oh man, the greatness of a New Orleans STS9 two-day run continues late night tonight! Zach Velmer and David Phipps are known for their amazing talents with live instruments, but tonight we’re being treated to a more intimate setting: two DJ sets that showcase just how talented Velmer and Phipps really are. Tickets for this event are moving quick, grab them here.
Velmer made news earlier this year when he performed a DJ set at STS9’s first ever festival, Wave Spell Live. The festival was located in the small northern California town of Belden. During his set, Zach brought a very special surprise guest artist to the stage: his daughter, Isis. The moment struck a chord with most STS9 fans, and the magic of a Velmer DJ set is now infamous.
While Zelmer might be the pretty boy with an attitude perfect for the limelight, Phipps brings a cooler, more collective sound to his DJ sets. The STS9 keyboardist drives home sensual cool beats that will keep fans swaying for most of the night. His ability to play multiple instruments while DJing is a unique experience on its own.
If you still have some life in you and are ready to end an amazing two-night run in the Big Easy, then join us for Velmer & Phipps live from The House of Blues New Orleans. The show kicks off with a lively opening set from New Orleans very own Dino Brawl. The funky Dino is sure to kick the night off the proper way!
Doors open at midnight, with the show to follow soon after. Tickets are still available here.
