Beloved Uptown neighborhood taco stand and margarita garden Barracuda will open its second location in Algiers Point on the West Bank This June 3rd.
The friendly, neighborhood taco stand and margarita stop are best known for serving authentic food with the freshest ingredients, and now they’re taking their tastes across the river.
The new Barracuda outpost will offer COVID-friendly, walk-up counter service for those who wish to dine in. From there, take a seat at some of the shaded and covered patio seating that overlooks Confetti Park. Tacos and margaritas on a cozy patio? We’re sold!
Barracuda regulars can expect all the classic menu staples, including the beloved “deluxe customization” with griddled cheese & guacamole. Guests can order cocktails to stay or to-go or peruse the takeaway menu, including family-style meals, packaged flour tortillas, and fresh salsas.
Looking to feed a big group? You can also get Barracuda catering when you order a taco party pack.
Barracuda Roots
Barracuda was founded by Brett Jones in March 2019, focusing on thin, Sonoran-style flour tortillas, fresh draft margaritas, and accessible and easy-going dining. His decision to open a second location in Algiers Point was driven by its strong sense of community and storied history.
A South Louisiana native, Brett Jones was raised with hospitality in his blood from a big Southern family who thrives on cooking, hosting, singing and creating places to gather with the community.
Since the founding of Barracuda Restaurants, Brett’s focus has been on creating distinctly neighborhood and community-oriented spaces that fill a niche and provide a great value for the people who live in the surrounding areas.
Barracuda is open for outdoor dining in the garden, to-go, and delivery from Tuesday – Sunday, 12 PM-8 PM.
Be on the lookout for the new Barracuda opening this month in Algiers: 446 Pelican Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana.
